Thank you to Great Wolf Lodge for hosting us! As always, all opinions are 100% my own.
This past weekend we had the opportunity to visit Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, NC again! This was our third trip to Great Wolf and we were just as excited as the first time we visited!
If you’re looking for a family-friendly getaway, this is it! Everyone had a great time, and the fun is nonstop and don’t worry they have plenty of precautions in place for COVID-19!
Great Wolf Lodge Paw Pledge
Great Wolf Lodge has implemented several changes since reopening. They have what is called a Paw Pledge. And it represents their commitment to staying safe and healthy while allowing guests to worry less and enjoy time together as a family more. You can read more about it here.
The Rooms
The rooms at Great Wolf are so fun…decorated in rustic cabin style. There are many types to choose from standard to deluxe. We happened to stay in a “Wolf Den” which has a separate area for the kids with bunk beds, themed wallpaper and their own tv!
Things to Do
What isn’t there to do? Great Wolf Lodge is one of those resorts that you basically never have to leave. Everything you will want to do and need is under one roof!
The Water Park
Of course the water park is the biggest draw! Admission to the water park is included with your stay. This is generally were we spent most of our time, as well as most of the other families visiting as well. The indoor water park is the signature attraction of the Great Wolf resorts! There are slides for every age, Jeff and I even enjoyed them and there were barely any wait times! Fort Mackenzie is so fun with lots of water features and a giant bucket that pours water every few minutes, a full-sized wave pool, places to splash, swim and climb…and so much more!! The water is heated to 84º and the air is also a nice 84º. you don’t ever have to worry about rain, or putting on sunscreen!
MagiQuest
Pretty sure this is my daughters favorite thing to do besides the water park. It’s an interactive game you play around the grounds of the resort. You purchase a wand and then can play the game all over the resort. It’s great for older kids because they can pretty much go without supervision to complete their quest!
Ten Paw Alley
Yup there is even a bowling alley! The girls loved this mini bowling alley!
Howly Wood XD Theatre
This is a fun movie theatre with 3-D sights, sounds, motion, thrills, and fun!
Northern Lights Arcade
The girls love the arcade. It’s open 24/7 which is a huge perk and they have so many games!
Laser Tag
Join an exciting game of laser tag to get your pack’s heart pumping!
Where To Eat
Lodge Wood Fired Grill
The Lodge Wood Fired Grill is a full-service, sit-down restaurant serving up dinner at Great Wolf Lodge. The food was delicious and it was nice to have such high quality food for dinner!
The Loose Moose Cottage
The Loose Moose Cottage is a buffet-style restaurant that served up breakfast! It was the perfect way to start the day and everything was socially distanced!
Hungry As a Wolf
Who doesn’t love pizza right?! Large pizzas, salads and pasta dishes the whole family can share! Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner!
Buckets Incredible Craveables
No need to leave the water park to grab a bite! Quick and easy with all the favorites! The girls loved the chicken tenders and fries sitting by the pool for lunch!
Dunkin’ Donuts
My personal favorite! Nothing like an iced coffee and donuts to start the day! Am I right?!
Paw Pass
Consider purchasing a Paw Pass if you plan on partaking in the activities at Great Wolf Lodge. It will seriously keep your kids busy the entire weekend. Here is everything the paw pass includes!
- One game of MagiQuest or ShadowQuest
- Choice of classic/color wand, standard topper or Magi belt
- One Great Wolf Lodge Candy Shop candy cup
- One scoop of Bear Paw Ice Cream
- One Paw Points game card for Northern Lights Arcade ($5)
- One play in our interactive Howlywood XD Theater
- One game of bowling at our fun-sized Ten Paw Alley
- One game at AtomicRUSH
- One game of Laser Tag
I’d say if your kids want to do even two of those activities, the Paw Pass is worth it! The girls used this all weekend and were determined to complete everything that was included and they did!
Staying at the Great Wolf Lodge is like an all-inclusive resort vacation, but right in your backyard! There is so much to do for everyone teens and adults as well! We missed having Kenz with us so we can’t wait to head back for another trip with her!
