We recently took a trip to Nashville to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and we enjoyed every second of it. I finally got a chance to sit down to tell you guys all about it!
Where We Stayed
Margaritaville Nashville Hotel
Margaritaville Nashville is a slice of island paradise in the heart of Tennessee. We already got a chance to check out the Margaritaville Island Hotel in Pigeon Forge and fell in love so I knew we would love this one as well, and of course it did not dissapoint! It has a prime location right in the heart of downtown. The hotel is just a few blocks from popular hot spots like Honky Tonk Highway, Broadway, Second Avenue, and Music Row which makes it very convenient and within walking distance to pretty much everything!
We went with a double-queen room since we had the kids with us of course. The room was very spacious for the four of us and is decorated in perfect island decor. The room has everything you need for your stay including a coffee maker and refrigerator.. Each room features two queen beds, all-white luxury linens, premium bedding, a seating area, and a full bathroom.
Things To Do

As soon as we got into town we went and took a tour with Music City Tours. This is the ONLY open-air, double-decker bus! It was definitely the best way to learn about the city and see all of the major sites in just 1 hour! Extremely family-friendly as well!
What will you see on Nashville City Tour?
- Historic Lower Broadway
- 2nd Ave/Market St
- Nissan Stadium
- Country Music Hall of Fame
- Frist Center for the Visual Arts & Union Station
- Vanderbilt University

- Ryman Auditorium
Backstage Nashville is a unique hit songwriter show that has quickly become one of Nashville, Tennessee’s top tourist attractions. We wanted to see this show back in September but due to Covid, they were still closed. Thankfully they are back open and the place is packed!
This weekly show features country music’s top songwriters and Nashville’s hottest rising stars at the legendary 3rd & Lindsley! Music lovers from all over the world come to Backstage Nashville to hear country music’s greatest hits and the stories behind them. You might even hear a song before it becomes a hit on the radio! Stay tuned to my Instagram this week as I might have a giveaway for you to see a show of your own when you are in town!
After our show at Backstage Nashville, we walked downtown to check out Broadway. Let’s just say the bachelorette parties and 21st birthdays were out in full force at 3 pm! We grabbed some lunch at Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge and decided it was best to get the kids out of the craziness before dark! Back to the hotel, we went!
Margaritaville Rooftop Bar and Pool
Luckily Margaritaville Hotel had an amazing rooftop pool with Fins Bar right beside it. The girls quickly switched into their bathing suits and that’s where we spent the rest of the evening.
The laid-back vibe of the rooftop pool definitely made us feel like Nashville was transformed into an island paradise. They even had live music which made the night that much better. I was a little disappointed we didn’t spend the evening on Broadway but after realizing how amazing the pool and bar area was I wasn’t missing anything and I knew the girls were safe and having fun, yay for me being a responsible parent. Haha.
The rooftop bar and Fins were so much fun. I loved the relaxing views of Downtown Nashville, without the crowds. No detail was left out in creating this urban oasis in the heart of Music City and I love that it is so family friendly.
Sunken pool lounge chairs are the premier spot on the rooftop deck, we definitely loved sitting in those with the heated pool it made our last day in Nashville so relaxing! Fire pits are everywhere for those cooler Nashville evenings.
Everything was perfect on our stay at Margaritaville Hotel downtown Nashville. They left no detail behind and made our girl’s first trip to Music City so memorable! I cannot wait to come back and visit soon!
