If you have a tween or teen girl in your life, I’m sure you can appreciate the need for easy-to-keep-clean, low maintenance spaces. The girls’ bathroom was in need of a makeover, paint included.

Teen Bathroom Makeover

I think the secret is to create something that feels youthful and grown-up. Functional features combined with fun colors or patterns are one way to get the job done. When your children grow up and move from elementary school to teenage, their tastes are likely to change in different ways.

Keep It Basic

The girls always had a themed bathroom growing up. The latest being a Justice mermaid theme. We decided to go with a basic color combination and a basic theme so that we can avoid redesigning this bathroom every year. With a basic theme, you can later change the decor very easily. Here are a few before pictures of their bathroom decor.

The girls decided to go with a Turquoise shower curtain from Lush Decor. This chic shower curtain is perfect for a teen girls’ bathroom. It features laser-cut circles that are handstitched onto the curtain for a 3D effect. It definitely adds a modern look to their bathroom. 

Color

Sometimes all you need is a big jolt of color to make a white bathroom more visually appealing to teens. Looking for a fun, fresh way to update your wall?  We decided to paint one of the walls the geometric paint pattern that is all over the internet. All you need is painters tape and a color or two depending on your preference to make this style of a trendy accent wall, which makes a bold, fun touch to any room.

The biggest update is that it’s actually clean! Yes, yall girls are gross too! Picture for proof!

Seriously though, it is so much better. The girls are loving the more grown-up bathroom decorations.

This update is nothing fancy, but it made SUCH a difference!
