Girls Weekend in Charleston

January 9, 2020

Last weekend my sister in law, niece, daughter and I made a last minute trip to Charleston. My sinus surgery was the up coming Monday and I knew I would be laid up in bed for a few days so I wanted to get a way and have some fun before that. My neice’s 17th birthday was a few days before and the kids started back to school the same Monday as my surgery. It seemed like the perfect time to get away with the girls.

Charleston Weekend

Where We Stayed

We love staying in Mount Pleasant and for this trip we stayed at The Cambria Hotel® Mount Pleasant. The hotel is modern and will fit anyone’s style.

Cambria Hotel

The onsite restaurant is perfect for breakfast and dinner inspired by local ingredients. There’s an outdoor pool for lounging and the lobby is so dreamy and welcoming.

Our room was absolutely gorgeous and was the prefect size for the four of us. We had a king suite that my sister in law and I shared. My niece and daughter used the pull out sofa in the separate living area. The room was so spacious with plenty of extras. One of our favorite things in the room was the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. I really need to invest in one of those for our bathroom at home!

Cambria Hotel

If you are in the area and need a modern, convient gorgeous place to stay with amazing staff then The Cambria is perfect and I highly suggest checking it out!

What To Do?

Believe me there is plenty to do while in the Charleston area, my sister in law and niece have never been so of course I took them downtown to show them around. We love escape rooms and found one downtown that we wanted to check out!

Time Traveler Escape Games

We have done escape rooms here in Myrtle Beach and we always love them and have so much fun. I was intrigued by this particular escape room because each room is inspired by the hidden history of Charleston, SC.

When you first walk into the building there is a Puzzle Lounge where you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer while solving table top puzzle games.

The apothecary room was the room we went in and it was so well thought out. The room was difficult but we made it through with the 4 of us and a couple of clues from Lance. (Who was absolutely amazing by the way!) We will definitely be back the next time we are in Charleston to try out another room and hopefully escape again! I highly recommend this escape room!

The escape room was definitely a highlight of the weekend. After that we explored around the city some more. Here are a few of my favorite pictures we took throughtout the weekend. Charleston is always a good idea.

Hi, I’m Jamie and I’m so happy you are here!

I started Boots Bows and Beaches a few years ago to share our craziness that is being married, working full time and of course being a mom of two teen girls.

Who knew I would learn so much and make such great friends while listening to country music and dealing with teenage hormones.
